2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: Redesigned with More Power and Capability

The 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 moved past a simple refresh into a full rework of the truck at its core. Our team can show you the longer list of differences before you assume you already know this truck. Learn all about the updates to this icon at Wes Haney Chevrolet.
Power and Performance
Four powertrains headline the redesign. An enhanced 2.7-liter TurboMax™ engine leads in, backed by the segment-exclusive 3.0-liter Duramax® Turbo-Diesel, a next-generation 5.7-liter V8, and an all-new 6.6-liter V8. Chevrolet has confirmed the 6.6-liter as the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 offered in its class. Final horsepower, torque, towing, and payload figures have not yet been released.
Technology Features
Screens dominate the redesigned cabin. Every trim features a standard 16.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.2-inch digital driver information center. ZR2 and High Country models add an 11.5-inch front passenger display, a Head-Up Display, and a Rear Camera Mirror for more than 60 inches of combined digital displays. Available dual wireless charging, a Multi-Flex® center console, and Super Cruise® hands-free driver assistance with trailering capability round out the technology upgrades to this new Chevy truck.
Safety Features
This new Chevrolet model arrives with newly standard safety features, including Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, Side Bicyclist Alert, and Reverse Automatic Braking. Other standard safety features include:
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Blind Zone Steering Assist
- Rear Cross Traffic Braking
- Front and Rear Park Assist
- Rear Pedestrian Alert
- IntelliBeam automatic high beams
- Forward Collision Alert
- Safety Alert Seat
- HD Rear Vision Camera
Expanded Super Cruise availability now includes High Country and ZR2 as standard, while Silverado and Trail Boss offer it as an option.
Off-Roading
Three factory-lifted trims cover the off-road side of the lineup. Custom Trail Boss and Trail Boss include a 2-inch factory lift and 34-inch mud-terrain tires. ZR2 increases capability with a 2-inch lift, 35-inch mud-terrain tires, locking front and rear differentials, Multimatic DSSV dampers, and an off-road-specific hood, and the available ZR2 Bison Edition adds AEV bumpers, rocker protection, 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels, and skid plates protecting the underbody, transfer case, and fuel tank.
