Since 1935, the 2025 Chevy Suburban has offered exceptional hauling power and passenger capacity for drivers who need more capability than a three-row crossover can provide. Now in its 12th generation, this incredible SUV is majorly refreshed for 2025 with more available power, updated styling, and the latest technology to meet the needs of modern drivers.

2025 Suburban Basics
The 2025 Suburban comes in six different trim levels: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. Most models can seat up to eight people, and nine-person seating is optional in the LS for those who need to accommodate the largest possible passenger load. A 5.3-liter V8 engine that produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque is standard on all but the range-topping High Country model, which features a 6.2-liter V8 for 420 hp and 460 lb-ft.
New Features for 2025
The optional 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine is even more powerful than before, offering 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque, and is available on the off-road-focused Z71 model for the first time. The impressive list of standard safety and driver assistance technology now includes an automatic parking system, rear cross-traffic automatic braking, HD surround vision, and adaptive cruise control. When you choose the LT, RST, Premier, or High Country, you’ll have the option to add Super Cruise for hands-free driving.
The infotainment system receives a massive upgrade from the previous 10.2-inch touchscreen to a best-in-class 17.7-inch display. The large screen helps simplify the center stack by incorporating some of the controls into the digital interface, and standard integrated Google built-in functionality offers the convenience of Google Assistant and Google Maps.
Cargo Capacity and Towing Power
The Suburban’s cavernous interior provides a massive 41.5 cubic feet of cargo capacity behind the third row, so even with a full cabin, you’ll have plenty of room for everyone’s belongings. The space expands to 93.8 cubes with the third-row seats folded flat, and boasts a maximum capacity of 144.5 cubic feet behind the front seats.
If you’re bringing larger gear or a camper along on your travels, the Suburban is also rated to tow trailers weighing up to 8,200 lbs, and advanced trailering technology is available.
Ride Comfort
In addition to comfortable, spacious seating in every row of the 2025 Suburban, the standard independent rear suspension smooths out bumps in the pavement to enhance ride comfort. Optional features like Magnetic Ride Control and Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension can even further optimize comfort for all passengers.
